Important year-end gift deadlines and reminders for 2021
Below are important year-end deadlines and reminders to receive tax benefits for the calendar year 2021 gifts. Of special note, the West Point Association of Graduates will close on December 31, 2021, at 2 p.m. EST. To ensure that your gift will be processed to meet IRS tax-year deadlines, please see the information below.
Gifts by credit card
The WPAOG accepts VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX, and you can give in the following ways:
Online
Credit card gifts made online should be completed before midnight December 31 to qualify as tax-deductible contributions in 2021. To make your gift online, go to this giving link. IRS guidelines require that online credit card transactions be completed by 11:59pm, December 31 (based on the time zone in which the gift is made), in order for those gifts to count in the calendar year.
Phone
To make a gift by phone, call 845.446.1658 before 2pm EST, December 31. Please have your credit card number, expiration date, and daytime phone number ready when you call. To ensure the security of your information as well as the timely processing of your gift, please do not leave your credit card information on a voicemail. After 2pm, please go online to make your year-end gift at this giving link.
Gifts by check
If you mail a check, the envelope must be postmarked by December 31 to count as a gift for 2021. Please make your check payable to “West Point Association of Graduates” and indicate how you want your gift designated and mail it to West Point Association of Graduates, Bldg 698, Mills Road, West Point, NY 10996. Gifts by stock
Gifts by stock can be made into our Merrill Lynch brokerage account by electronic transfer. Stock transfers must be made by December 31. Please notify giftoperations@wpaog.org with stock information.

Gifts by cash wire
Gifts of cash must be received via cash wire transfer into the Key Bank, USA account by December 31. To initiate a cash wire transmittal please contact GiftOperations@wpaog.org for account information.
